Job Description


What We Do: Our Accounting and Financial Operations team provides critical infrastructure for the effective operation of PayScale. We continually strive for operational excellence to maintain the integrity and efficiency of the company, and seek to scale our operations as we pursue our ambitious growth agenda and our mission to #getpayright.


What You Do: We are looking for an experienced, senior leader who can help scale our Accounting and Financial Operations organization to $200MM+ of revenue over the next 2-3 years. Important responsibilities for the role include:


Planning, directing and coordinating all accounting and financial operations, including Audit, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Tax, Treasury 

Managing the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of business results 

Coordinating activities of external auditors 

Coordinating and preparing internal and external financial statements; including reporting packages to equity and debt-holders 

Evaluating and monitoring accounting and internal control systems, including IT systems & software


Qualifications and Skills


Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related discipline Accounting designation (CPA preferred) or an equivalent combination of related experience and education 

Minimum 15 years accounting experience in a senior audit, accounting or financial management role  

Experience of team leadership; including the recruiting, training and retaining of skilled accounting staff 

Ability to work closely with, and influence, senior management team and other members of the Finance team 

Strong interpersonal and communication skills; especially the ability to articulate complex and detailed accounting activities to non-accountants 

Impeccable analytical and organizational skills; especially utilization of automated systems and best-in-class process design SaaS background (incl. SaaS Revenue Recognition) strongly preferred 

History of working with Netsuite / Salesforce preferred 

Private equity-backed, M&A-integration and International expansion experience all preferred  

Experience at a larger-scale company (1,000+ people) preferred
